Alisher Usmanov

it is just stating the obvious asking where the money goes. And why a majority shareholder at a football club who also has shares in other sports i happy to sit there on a cash cow and just milk it dry.

If arsenal did collapse post Wenger then guarantee he would sell up then.

Exactly, this is a recognized risk to any further investment in Arsenal (i.e. Buying Usmanov out).

Assuming you're referring to his purchase of shares after buying out Moshiri, I think given how negligible his increase in shareholding was, there's very little we can take from it and certainly can't use it as a basis to speculate that he's either looking to hold or sell.

There are so many potential reasons for him to purchase the shares that it essentially means nothing. On the one hand it could be due to a pre-agreement with the prospective buyer of his shareholding or simply because he's confident share price will rise before he looks to sell. On the other hand it could be a case of him gradually increasing his total shareholding for long term investment purposes or just something as simple as his investment/management company in charge of his portfolio doing their job based on market sentiment.

I was talking about Kroenke there.

Honestly wish that rumours like this are discussed after the transfer window.
We need to get more new players in and make sure the club knows we are focused on that sole aspect between now and the end of the month.

Seriously you think whatever is discussed on here has any bearing at all on discussions made by the Everton board.

Trust me it's only us in here who live and breathe this forum there is real life going on out there.

I think.

This rumour won't go away until Usmanov has the majority control at Arsenal, if not then who knows. The rumours are capitalising on two things, Moshiri's links to Usmanov and the current power struggle between Usmanov and Kroenke. We'll have to see how this one plays out. As unlikely as it may seem, if you'd have told me this time last year that we'd have a new billionaire shareholder that has pledged his funds into the club then I would have dismissed it.

The only reason I maintain the slightest bit of hope (and this could be a load of [Poor language removed]) that this may one day happen is this...

According to PL regs you can only have a significant amount of shares in one premier league club, therefor Usmanov would have to be bought out at Arsenal to invest in us which is a process that could take years.

Moshiri and Usmanov have been long term associates and due to there frustrations at not being able to have a big influence at Arsenal they want to look to have more/full control of a different PL club.

While Usmanov waits for the right buyer to come along, he buys out Moshiri which free's him up to invest in Everton. Moshiri starts the building process at Everton why Usmanov waits for a buyer.

Bilic was saying in an interview that they can't compete with chelsea and also said maybe not even compete with Everton. Thought it was a strange thing to say.

Get on this Usmanov fella, trying to jump on the mighty blues bandwagon because we are rich.

On your diamond encrusted bike you meff.

I joke I joke... please join the blue revolution Ali...please :D

I've had the suspicion after learning about Mosh and Usmanovs links that Farhad was laying the ground work and that Billy Big Balls was joining up after. We need a big season this season so we can attract the the next tier of players because a fat wedge isn't enough.

But that analogy isn't the reality here mate.

He owns a 30% slice of Arsenal, and if he's to move on to another club, he'd have to dispose of it i.e. sell it. Merely handing it on to a relative (whether blood or not) wouldn't suffice imo.

dont the Watford owners family own about 3 clubs, all under different members (son etc), so surely there is precident

and didn't peter Johnson (shudders) gift tranmere to his bird when he was forced to sell us or them?

I might be well out like, but yeah
