We got £30m for 29 year-old Idrissa Gueye. £20m for Allan seems like a great deal.

The equivalent of that now is that we get wind of it a day or 2 before its confirmed as opposed to a months-long saga

If we get Allan for £20 million that would be a good bit of business for an experienced CL player who’s in his prime. I think it will be more than that but we’ll see.

Anyone high profile and it’s all over the media. We did the deal for the young LB without anyone knowing until the day he signed.
