Don’t get the whole blaming the rest of the midfielders for his poor form tbh when Gana largely played with the same players and still managed to look head and shoulders our best midfielder.

Not fair to Allan. He was a very good player on a Napoli side that finished high in Serie A, had decent runs in CL/Europa and win domestic cups. Gana was the best at his role in the PL when he left us and made significant contributions at PSG, one of the richest clubs in the world even if underachieving by their expectations. He could play for almost any club in the world right now.

Undefeated and undisputed, never lost a game.

Because our central midfield is pretty average and you could argue that a bloke who has played 10 times for Brazil was better to keep than Doucoure and Davies. And was (currently) a better player than Onana.
Plus it's a forum.

It's just a reaction to people who had him down as 7th choice in our midfield. Recent results and performances by the midfield prove he should have been very close to being in the starting 11.

Roque Junior was a world cup winning starter for Brazil and he was crap.

He was terrible and rightly wouldn’t have been anywhere near our starting XI, and is so good he’s now playing in the United Arab Emirates.
