ALLOCATION FOR MAN CITY

Just got mine. Girl in ticket office said Level 3 only. So I reckon they'll be sold first. Then it'll work its way down to bottom tiers depending on demand. It goes to general sale just before the first leg. The result of that game may determine if we sell all 7292 tickets but think we'll have 5000 there as a minimum. Could be wrong on the order of selling out each tier but thats my thinking on it.

For the league game it's tier one, followed by tier two followed by tier three. If that's the case for the semi-final, we'll be sold out by next Sunday.

Irrespective of the 1st leg result we'll be taking all or only just short of the full allocation.

If they're on to Level 3 after 4 hours of selling on the first day (5 credits or more) I agree it'll sell out no doubt. We must have around 3 to 4 thousand buying in first few hours then unless tier 3 is the biggest tier.

Went on at 10am n level 2 for second leg sold out n no option for level 1 so im up in level 3. Selling fast then?

I've been keeping an eye on it over the past few weeks due to a few of us being on a different number of credits and they seem to only allow certain blocks on sale at the same time. With the City league game they had to sell tier 1 first, then tier 2, then tier 3. Whilst Tier 1 was on sale, Tiers 2 and 3 were showing as sold out even though they hadn't been put on sale yet. It would be better if they put unavailable rather than sold out as it would be less confusing for the fans.

So with the City Cup game, I assume they are selling tier 3 first, which someone confirmed further up, and tier 2 won't have been put on sale yet. Tier 3 is the bigger of the two tiers and is around 5,500 as far as i'm aware as that is what Hull were given. May be a bit less for us if they are covering the first few rows etc. They will only put tier 2 on sale in the Cup once tier 3 is sold out.

The same has happened with Chelsea away and I think it's because they have 2 allocations of 1,500 and 3,000. The lower tier allocation of the 1,500 allocation has sold out so they are only selling the Upper Tier of that allocation. If we sell that out, they will then put the lower and upper of the further 1,500 on sale.

That's how I understand it anyway.

And you're exactly right.

The club will have to 'buy' any unsold tickets, when they request the full allocation (remember the uproar with QPR away a few seasons ago?), so they have to sell tickets in the best interest of themselves. For Chelsea, i know that they are told to sell the full allocation in blocks of 4, so Lower Tier corner, upper tier corner, then behind goal lower, upper tier goal, crap that the hardcore fans get shafted and stuck in the corner mind, just the way the club do it. I imagine that we'll be selling the upper tier first, due to the fact if we can't sell our allocation, the second tier would act as segregation, and save the club some bob, not that it'll matter like, we're selling out.
