Alonso hands in transfer request

Well i know that but they will also miss him if he leaves. Alonso has a dirty streak in him you know. Good riddance to both. :@

More importantly, that diving [Poor language removed] going will mean 7 less opposition players sent off against Liverpool next season. No wonder they want a big compensation package for losing him.

That's Mikel gone then.

Not so sure, Mikel will be coming off an injury and might only start about 20 or so matches next season. When healthy and at the height of his powers the only team that bid on him was Arse and it a joke offer to show the fans that they are a) bidding on players and b) to make Zenit think that if they don't sell Arshavin then Wenger is looking at others. So if no one is going to bid on him while healthy they are bidding the 15-20M it'll take to get him coming off an injury.

Got to agree with some of yers, goes down quicker than Linda Lovelace, good riddance :@ how many WAS sent off with him involved just last season alone? I mentioned this to a couple of RS's but they wouldn't have it he's a diver..."it's not his fault kiddaaaaaa!"

Surprised he took so long.

Last summer Benitez was actively looking to get rid for Gareth Barry. Loyalty goes both ways.

Always liked Alonso, quality player and always comes across as a nice lad. Similar to Arteta really.

Glad to see him go though, he's one of there best players and a tough one to replace.

I dont think the RS will be sheding a tear if the rumours of them getting Villa and Aquilani with the Alonso money are true.

With normal people yes but not with the Waiter

Nail on Head from a Manchester United fan. Benitez was hoping to offload Alonso last summer, now he is desperate to keep hold of him. Why? Because Alonso's transfer fee has risen since? Because he reallizes he cannot buy any better? Double standards or what!
