2022/23 Amadou Onana

He needs to demand more from himself when he's driving forward, he's capable. Put a nice ball through to Dominic Calvert-Lewin which shows he's got a pass in him.

He's huge, athletic, can hold the ball and he needs to be dominating the midfield

Been so disappointed with the midfield in the last 3 games. They did so well against Southampton but haven't competed since. The biggest worry is Gueye. He looks well off the pace.

Iwobi has been dreadful last two games. I think Gueye has been steady last two games but nothing major. Onana is inconsistent. But between the 3 ffs they need to be more demanding of each other as they've been so passive and that's cost us massively.

Have noticed over the last few games that he is quite lazy tracking back. He should be racing to get back into position when we lose possession but takes his time.

Needs to knock that on the head and work as hard as others.

Thought he was the best of the midfield three in the first half but mainly out of possession, did a lot of covering for Gray on the left, tracked well, intercepted, picked up second balls but in possession, loose. 2nd half we had more of the ball and not the quality in the final third.

Him and Iwobi are too flat, one of them needs to get a bit further forward support the attack. Not sure which one but the experiment of playing them both as a number 8 isn’t working.

He’s got talent and could be some player, not sure we’ve figured out his best role yet.

….outside of our CBs, I thought he was our best player again.
I agree, he always looks forward when in possession but sees little or nothing ahead of him. I think both our defence and midfield have far too much work to do because nothing sticks when we go over the halfway line. We'd still be goaless if the match was still playing now.

Know what, I wouldnt be against getting him beside DCL when our CBs have the ball and lashing it big hoping Gray or Gordan can pick up the pieces. Fellaini MkII.
