I honestly don't know what kind of player people are expecting him to develop into when he can't do the basics well whatsoever. There is no way a top European club has this clogger in their midfield.

Sadly I doubt any of our players we’d get 50m for should we be relegated. Clubs will realise we’d be in a financial mess and we’d have to sell our high earners to offset the impact of relegation. It’s like when Leeds imploded financially, they had a team of very good players who were sold for a fraction of their truth worth.

He’s a presence in there so even if he’s not playing well he does have an affect on the other team. His passing at times though is absolutely diabolical

I struggle in my lifetime to remember an Everton midfield who collectively are so poor on the ball.

If we go down think we will do well to recoup our money for him if we stay up I’d say maybe £35 if we’re lucky. Don’t think he’s crap just don’t see the massive potential in him some have mentioned on here definitely got something about him but as I’ve said previous he needs to do more in the games and today that kind of performance is not acceptable done zero all game

If the club really knew the extent of the financial restraints last summer - then the signing of Onana for 35m Euros instead of a couple of attacking options may be the real reason why we get relegated this season

I really like him, bags of potential, great attitude. Only criticism is that he has fluffed a number of very good chances in the games I’ve watched him. Needs to improve on his shooting/finishing.
