I thought hed need 1-2 seasons. Based on him moving clubs every summer, never having a full season of starting and also lack of a winter break...and the pace of the league.

The stats I link above compare him quite favourable with Jorginho, Caicedo, Partey etc.

Put him next to Garner (how he looked ad a Forest loanee) and he'll be very good. Sadly it seems as if we may seem him in other colours soon.

As I always say though, double our money (£66mil) and invest in two u21s to develop and sell on and it may make sense.

Garner seems to lack defensive ability and physical presence for a tall lad.

Considering the league whence he came from (with respect) and his position, lot of acclimatizing to get up to speed in the EPL. Steadily settling in for me. Hopefully this time next year we will be talking how pivotal he has been in our rise up the premier league. Much more to worry about than this young lad currently.

This isn't what he's good at. Maybe it could be something in time but not now. His biggest problem is he's being asked to do things he's not good at while also adapting to a new team, league and manager.

Me too, wish he'd be more confident in his own ability and run at defenders more often.
