Seriously think this is the only reason we bought him, to make a quick buck, now if that's the model we are going with fine, but let's have at least 2 or 3 years out of him first, ffs.

Agreed. I mean i really like him and would love to watch him develop with us.

However at a price (for me thats around £75mil) where we double our money and can buy 2 players (1 replacement + 1 more comparabls starter) then it makes sense to move him on quickly.

It seems like were ok on FFP to the tune of anywhere between £30-50mil and perhaps the owner doesnt want to put his hand in his pocket until MSP is over the line.

To be honest I think flipping players for profit is the only way we can get out of this mess. It's not nice but it's were we are.

As long as we get good deals, with sell ones etc.

I hope he steps up next season and justifies his price tag and enormous hype. I will allow him last season as a settling in/developmental period. He needs to start impacting games now.

He's a legend in his own head at the moment. Like you I'd like to think he could come good for us next term but I've a niggling feeling the wheels are already in motion to raise cash by selling him.

The silence is deafening.

I said a few weeks back, there will be rumours about him and Pickford and we will see from the player/club a reaction. We have seen Picfords love of Everton, suggesting he will go nowhere. Well not of his own chiosing. But nothing from this lad. He will go. We will line up deals, get them over the line, after 1st July then he will be sold.
He won't go before, cause then other clubs say, ooh Everton have £60m. We will have that.

Let's accept, this lad will not be an Everton player come next season. To be honest I am fine with it. He is no loss, on last season form
