He’s young, inexperienced, and will need to acclimatise. Hopefully his cameos have made some people realise that for all people are focusing on the attacking deficiencies, we have not even come close to solving the problems in midfield that everybody has been talking out for years but seem to have forgotten in the last few weeks.

Felt very Gbamin away at Wolves last year. If Lampard knew he wasn't fit enough, why throw him on in a two man midfield. Think he went into his shell a little bit after the first couple of mistakes on the ball.
He'll be sound though, especially if we can get Gueye in alongside him and Iwobi just ahead.

He'll need time and patience though. By Everton's standards, that's about five years, as that's how long Davies has been afforded despite not only showing no signs of improvement past the age of 19, but actually showing signs of decline.
