i know but realistically with one or 2 injuries Dyche could be looking at his bench and see 4 centre backs sitting there, a few midfielders and Townsend / Mc Neil. Another option for someone who can find the back of the net would be good.

Guy on TalkSport mentioned work permit would be a struggle as the league he’s in is like category 6 or something now? Not that I want him anyway he’s fat.

Not an expert on these things and the exact criteria these days but international appearances rank quite highly and last season he captained his country at both AFCON and a World Cup.

Might surely help matters even if he was playing in a poor league (he did also play AFC Champions league which might also help).

Even if he doesn’t have the automatic points I’d be amazed if “just captained his country at the World Cup” wasn’t a help in an appeal. I’m not at all excited about him as a signing but less accomplished players than him get work permits.
