As to Gomes being super expensive, a lot of that will be down to Gomes himself
If he tells Barca to get a deal done wit’s Everton because he isn’t signing for anyone else then Barca will have to play ball with us over the price
If they get their money back they will be happy

Gomes instinctively knows where to place himself and what ball to play and to who. Mostly always the right move or pass.

Good coaches can teach that sort of thing, if the player is intelligent enough he can be taught where to position himself and be aware of where play will breakdown or an opportunity is likely to occur.

I was very keen for Davies to not go on loan as he will learn a lot from watching and training with Gomes, if nothing more than a better dress sense.

I think Davies dress sense and hairstyle is beyond redemption

Imagine Doucoure or Ndombele in his place. Both those guys are more athletic, more explosive, might be better at winning balls and could morph us into a very scary 4-2-3-1 counter attacking side. Pair them with Gana and you’ve got a more disruptive team that could be very difficult to break down. Just different. Both expensive, too.

I just fear that Gomes will be super expensive as he suddenly looks like the player he was at Valencia. He will be sold, though. Barca knows he isn’t a fit for their style of play.

I don’t even really like Neves or Savic. Haven’t seen Barella at all, just using him as a point. There are a couple older guys we could probably plug in for a year or so, too.

I'd say Gomes is currently better than both of those players and is a great fit for how we want to play.

I love Gana and don't think he'll be going anywhere, but in a 4-2-3-1 if we did sign a Doucoure/Ndombele type (I don't think we'll actually sign either player) then it'd probably be to give us a different option to Gana more than anything else.

Anyway, all of our focus will be on getting sexy Andre. I don't think we'll get any of the others but like I said I understand your point.

I have one I haven’t worn in 2 years
I’m getting it out of the wardrobe and cleaning it up

However I’m as ball as a coot , can’t grow a beard and am pig ugly

Don’t think the jacket will change all that lol
