People believing he’ll want to remain at Everton are, imo, not confronting reality. He’s too good a player to not be in a top team...which we, sadly, are not, and which we are a long way from becoming.

Looking at those last three performances from him no would be in for him in the top 6. I still think the jury is out to see his levels of his consistency.

It's a catch 22 scenario for us. He excels he moves somewhere better, he plays like he did in the last three matches would we want to spend a huge amount?

I don't know what people were watching yesterday but the only two players moving the ball quickly yesterday were Gomes and Sigurdsson. When Gomes went off for Schneiderlin any time we looked to break after that point Schneiderlin would slow the play to a crawl or Davies would boot it straight to the Spurs fullbacks. Gomes didn't have his best game yesterday but he was head and shoulders above anyone except Gylfi and maybe Digne. If Gomes and Fans don't play on Boxing Day we'll be in bother, against Burnley FFS!

Head and shoulders above all our other midfielders, sees a pass and is not afraid to make it. Plays on the front foot and, while yesterday wasn’t his best game, he was still about the pick of a very average bunch on the day.
Sadly, I can’t see him staying.

He has absolutely top-class touch, passing and vision. However, that is not enough at elite level and why he cant get a game at Barcelona.

He desperately lacks speed, strength, mobility and stamina. He played very well first half v lpool, was totally anonymous v city and had a few moments against spurs.

He would be a huge asset if he had willing runners around him and he is fit mentally and physically but looks like he will always be a serious liability defensively.
