No chance. With this new stadium now, Spurs need success. They're not far away from Arsenal now in terms of expectations and that's only going to grow with the stadium and success this season. Either way, we were the only club that took a chance on him and essentially resurrected his career, for him to then turn his back and jump ship. I hope Sigurdsson and even Pienaar are having words with him - try telling them the pressure is similar to here.

We'll agree to disagree. Personally I don't think the pressure at Everton is much different than to Spurs, not saying its the same but wouldn't say its as big a leap as Everton to Barce. It's not like it's OK to be a bad player here or put in subpar performances, look at Scniederlin for example. End of the day, as fans, we're the only ones that have that loyalty to Everton that you're talking about, yeah we took a chance on him etc etc but we're just a job to him, if it turns out he loyal to us for taking a chance on him then great, hopefully that makes him sign for us instead, but as it stands Spurs are the more attractive job opportunity if you look at it from that perspective. At least we can match them on wages and transfer fees. People will disagree but I think missing out on Europa could cost us a player or 2 this season, Gomes being one, but it is what it is.

I like Andre Gomes but if he is going to Spurs we need to focus on Ruben Neves whatever the price. I mean, Gomes is great, but his stats aren't that good and if we keep Gana, we need a CM who can score and assist some times.

Neves is nothing like Gomes though.

According to Spanish reports he's agreed terms with Spurs they just need to sort a fee with Barce can't really expect him to stay here when Champs league finalists offer him a key role in their team. It's been rumoured they were scouting him a good few months ago too so seems likely

Not all players have the ability to handle huge pressures of the game. Champions league brings with it massive expectation and pressure , Andre has shown to not enjoy his last club and will be wary of jumping straight back into that again.
