...really Sandro? This fella has sublime touch, control, elegance and balance, I couldn’t think of anybody who is in such stark contrast to Sandro.

Thats the best of him tho and Im thinking its because he looks like hes trying to put the most spin on those passes. The ones that come off look great on the highlights but its the rest of the time, when their low on confidence - ala Sandro they overcook everything. Skill level aside and just a generalisation.

I hope he bosses it when he lands on the pitch but yep. Not so sure.

My take on the situation, he's the type of player the fans in the fans have loved,

As s club we can be right tools to done players, but just look as far as Lennon fir the support he for when his problems came out, and look at the example of Niasse - given it was Silva who rebuilt what must have been an utterly shattered player on confidence and the way the fans took to the underdog after, then fir Gomes I honestly believe there's no better fit than club and manager for he lad.

Very confident that he will become a massive favourite when he shows the fight he has to do well.

..I haven’t got a clue if things will work out for him here but he’s a class act, no doubt about that.

As long as a player gives 100% we are a fair fan base.

Naismith, Niasse, Straq are good examples of players who give their all but are not top talents. Carsley and Kilbane are 2 examples of less fancied players who built a fantastic career here.

If he works hard and adapts he could reach the levels of Pienaar / Arteta. They both found a home here and the fans loved them.

I wish him every success here.

Even the 80s team was built on two players needing to rebuild shattered careers almost in Reid and gray.

Eggs is right.

Based on his Valencia form we have a top quality player whose style will be loved by our fans and much needed in the team.

He clearly had a very bad time at Barca and it can only be hoped that he can recover from that and get back to something like his best. If he can we have a helluva player.

Let it be said that Ive only watched some highlights so Im really not qualified to judge, but theres just something Sandro about his play.

I hope he gets the chance to show me up and absolutely Silva seems a natural fit to get his confidence back.
Sandro ?

Na not seen Gomes fall over once yet.

Should be getting some game time after the intentional break, ya?

..Silva said him and Mina would ‘join training’ after the international break, not sure how far off game time Gomes is.

It’s a hamstring, much will depend on the level of tear/strain. He’s jogging so he should be relatively fit, it’ll all be about when the hamstring can cope with intensity.
