Not at all, though you have to take a contrary standpoint to disagree with something. Disagreement is what fuels discussion, which powers this forum.

Plenty of users agree with the points I make, plenty disagree. Both are equally fine with me, although there are times were others go beyond polite, respectful disagreement.

It doesn't particularly bother me, but If i'm getting Xhaka levels of abuse and getting pulled up on grammar, it's fair enough to give a bit back I'd say - as Mod i'll obviously take your direction on that?

Weird how you take the contrary position to the dominant narrative on 100% of topics on the forum though, literally every single one without fail. It almost seems like it’s not actually always “just your opinion”, and you are in fact looking for people to bite and argue back. The term WUM is used for that behaviour on here.

I've talked about toxic positivity and toxic negativity in the past because I believe we're quite an extreme fanbase in terms of our viewpoints. It's important (in my opinion) to consider all sides of any argument and balance that. Whether you choose to believe this or not is up to you entirely, I can tell you 100% that every post I make is my opinion.

I've said I think we'll win the cup under Silva, I've even defended Silva (in spite of overwhelming negativity) on occasion. I've been nothing but complimentary to Tom Davies when others slated the lad, I've defended Gbamin while people were calling him a crock, I've made countless posts in the depression thread in support of others going through a difficult time.

I'm not sure how any of that would wind anyone up, but If i'm only on here to wind people up, i'm wasting a fair bit of time.......

You were saying that the Mina "foul" on Son at the weekend was a penalty, despite the fact he barely touched him and Son kicked his legs up behind him like a donkey to try and simulate contact. I'm not for one second believing that you actually think that was a foul. Same with the Alli handball, everyone in the world can see that's handball, but you tried to go against the grain seemingly for no reason other than to generate a debate that wasn't really there.

If these thoughts genuinely are your opinion, I worry about you more than I would if you were WUMing.

So it’s proven that fella was innocent, and we all agree there.

Why the contrary nature? Are we actively looking for arguments?

Just pointing out mate that when I seen the 3 second video clip I couldn't see anything racist going on and he responded with "wow", "insane" implying that I should be seeing what he said he could see.

So I called him out on it that's all and he continued to chat crap about lack of evidence.

Still not seen anything definitive on when he could be back but reading The Atheltic this morning from O’Keefe, one source says a year long absence is perhaps wide of the mark

I thought next season he will be back myself, maybe a little chance for last game or so,anyway hes back at finch farm today

I thought the Son foul was a penalty at 1st glance because Mina was stupid and very clumsy, and that Spurs perhaps had a case. That's it. I wasn't the only one saying those things. Saying Spurs 'perhaps have a case' is very different to saying that it was definitively a penalty. In the same sense, I don't think the handball was definitively a penalty, but we had a case.

We're going round in circles ultimately. You disagree and that's fine.

Like I said, we're saying the same thing. There is no evidence to show that a crime had been committed.

Wow, can't believe that's been rescinded. The absolute state of the media in all of this too.

eh ? It’s one of the most clear cut cases of when a red should be rescinded, the only place I’ve seen anyone try and claim it’s deserved is on this forum... the generally held view is that it was not a red card. I guess there is some element of surprise to it in that for once the FA actually had the balls to change the decision to the correct one.

Somebody posted a link to a Spurs forum yesterday where even quite a few of their fans accepted that a red card wasn't unjustified, so i'm not sure it's quite as universally accepted as you're suggesting.

I’m sure there are some others who say a red was fine but the overwhelming majority of people on social media and pundits have said they don’t think it’s a red.

if It’s a red we have to change the rules so that if you ever play the man instead of the ball you get sent off as it could result in a freak accident like Sunday where a player gets their foot caught in the turf or whatever... or do we say it’s fine and only send them off when the outcome is a serious injury ? the injury level should not influence a decision, if someone goes in two footed and the players fine it’s still a red card.
