If we had a team full of runners you’d see a different player. He’d have time on the ball to make things happen. As it is, we have a manager who sets up in such a way it means he spends most of his time running about and not being effective at all.
When he signed on loan he was exceptional in the main. He signed and dropped a level and then the injury really set him back. He’s still a good player though IMO and just doesn’t get utilised (not just on the current manager either) when he’s playing well he’s a good member of the squad.True enough. He is without doubt nowhere near the same player he was a few years ago pre injury, but I agree the way we play is exposing him even more. Which, again, is on the manager.
