Neiler

Player Valuation: £100m
Just a quik question with AJ moving who do you think is driving the move player or the club?

A) If the player frustrated at lack of first team oppurtunites, unsettled in Liverpool and wants a move?

Or

B) Are the club wanting to sell, to bring in a better quality replacement or need the money to improve squad.

The club in the main as they want to raise funds for a big money move but i have heard his missus has moved back to london so i dont think AJ will be putting up much of a struggle

Both :), i dont think moyes wanted to get rid of him, but johnson wanted out, and moyes saw it as an opportunity to get some money...

A), enough with the conspiracy theories. It's been made clear that it was AJ who decided he wasn't mentally there to play Preston.

The club I think. Obviously the Echo and other outlets are trying to put it on AJ and say his heart isn't in it. I don't agree with that at all.

We don't have the money to buy players like Moutinho and AJ's transfer is funding it.

Both.

Of course the AJ money will go towards players. But I dont think Moyes wants him to go. He signed him on for another 5 years then came out in public to say "he's not for sale".

AJ's not going to get 1st team football, his wife probably wants to move, EFC will get 10mill for him (which everyone is surprised with).

He wants to leave, they're not going to stand in his way and the club arent too arsed he's going with the return on him.

He's not being chased out the of the club just to get money for players

It hasn't been the same for AJ at this club since we signed Yakubu imo.

A move now seems right for all parties involved at this moment in time.

Likewise Beattie, when we signed Johnno, its survival of the fittest out there thats for sure. If he's moved on then not only is his transfer fee going to be useful, but his salary too, I'm guessing he would be one of the higher earners at the club after the new contract he signed last year.

The poor sod aint been the same since those comments about him getting penalties, if he goes I'll wish him all the best, and hopefully when times are hard we wont miss his work ethic much.

Thats how I see it I think its a disgrace the way the Echo have covered this not for the first time Iam disappointed with they way players going get treated if we need the cash for other players and Moyes thinks that AJ is the one to go thats enough its his choice so why cloud the guys reputation.

Well we don't know anything. I would say the Echo have more of an insight than us. They are there at the games, training, events, in tandem with the club's PR officals.

If the Echo say that AJ is not putting his all in and is trying to get away, then who are we as fans to dispute that fact? We are not closer to the club then the press.

I got a email earlier this year after posting on Toffee web from the Echo saying that they were not biased toward the local clubs but also had to respect that the club could refuse to talk to them if they upset them.

I am skeptical of pretty much all the press rumblings, and I would have thought you would be too Ghost. Just because this press happens to be local doesn't exonerate them of their grumblings. If you recall the Echo has published some amazing transfer rumours, not quite tribal football level, but still some good ones.

Like everybody says, believe it only when you see a pic of him holding the shirt (photochops excluded for the cynical types (y))
