Maybe so, but they are not going to defame AJ's character or the clubs. My brother-in-law spoke with AJ at a game last season, and he was a bit of a **** to him. Then AJ didn't renew his box.

I do get the impression that he's seen his arse with being on the bench. Good riddens if you ask me.

I am skeptical of pretty much all the press rumblings, and I would have thought you would be too Ghost. Just because this press happens to be local doesn't exonerate them of their grumblings. If you recall the Echo has published some amazing transfer rumours, not quite tribal football level, but still some good ones.

Like everybody says, believe it only when you see a pic of him holding the shirt (photochops excluded for the cynical types (y))

Yeah, but do you think that they are going to lie and defamate someone's character?

It's all speculation though, isn't it. No actual quotes from any party involved, except Moyes saying he isn't for sale.

I just think people are too quick to jump down the throats of the board all the time. We know from experience that london born players are not always going to settle up here, and will try and get away. TC anyone?

On a performance level, I fail to see how AJ is going to improve next season, 2 derby goals for me is not enough to attain hero status. So if the guy can't cut it, he can't cut it. Time to move on and lets bring in some quality.

According to a guy on NSNO, who seems to be fairly reliable, he is having a medical today. Good news all round. Maybe this could push forward our move for Moutinho or Bent.

Should this transaction go through this week then I reckon we should see the heads come rolling in ...

i don't think he has performed to be fair. if we can get anything over 10 for him then i think it's good money. better strikers out there.

My problem with AJ was that he just did not have the finishing touch of the YAK. He always gave his all when on the field but we need someone who can slot the ball away when given the opportunity. He has scored some crackers, especially the goal against FK Bran in that 6-1 drubbing but further more it has been far and few between

Quote from NSNO:
Contrary to the reports coming from within Everton Football Club, NSNO have learned that striker Andy Johnson is in London today for a Medical with Fulham.

As reported last week on NSNO Everton have accepted a £10.5 million offer for AJ, however this was dismissed by Everton via their website in the following statement:

“Contrary to some media reports that have surfaced throughout the course of today, the Club can confirm that no offer has been received nor has any deal been agreed for Andrew Johnson with Fulham Football Club."

If this is the case I’m sure the fans would like an explanation from the club as to why they feel it is appropriate to provide inaccurate information through their own website.

If Johnson does end up a Fulham player this week it will surely mean that David Moyes will strengthen his squad with some big money signings. Sporting Lisbon's Joao Moutinho is expected to be the main priority.

He's lost so much confidence in and around the penalty area and also when running at players since Wenger and Warnock's comments the other season.
