SSN now saying AJ is going to Fulham for 12MILLION. If thats true Fulham have lost the plot well and truely and we should get it done asap.

apparently its 10.5 million which would turn into £12 million depending on starts, achievements etc...

Its still far too much for an average 27 year old pace player, we will have pulled off a quality deal if what ssn are saying is true.

Sky Sports News understands that Andrew Johnson is undergoing a medical at Fulham.
The Everton striker has attracted attention from a host of clubs this summer, with Wigan making no secret of their admiration for the England international.
However, the former Crystal Palace man is believed to favour a move back to the capital, citing family reasons as the motive behind his decision.
There had been rumours that he was in London to discuss personal terms with Fulham last week, after he left Everton's pre-season friendly with Preston before the game had got underway.
Everton were quick to deny that the forward was set for an imminent exit, but would appear to have now bowed to the player's wishes.
It is thought that Fulham are willing to pay between £10-12million for a player who has eight caps for his country.
Johnson joined Everton in the summer of 2006 and has helped the Toffees secure Uefa Cup football in each of the two seasons he has spent on Merseyside.

Im sorry but selling AJ is ridiculous considering there is little or no talk of any players coming in ever. We should be able to...

stump up the cash for Moutinho (18m)

without selling 1 of our only 2 prooven strikers

and still have around 10m left over for a rightback and possibly another back up striker.

Seems like every other club has at least 25m to spend except us! Even Hull have spent a fair bit even if it is on wages and theyve got no where near the money we were supposed to have. What happened to the coupla million from Rooney? Or the sale of Faddy?

Plus what if the Christmas calenders have already gone into production? Omg that would be disasterous!!!!!!

I am disgruntled beyond beleif. So help me Im going to pull on my testicles so hard.....

I've thought the same after Faddy & Cars. I'm keeping my fingers crossed Davey is in control and the dominoes will now start to fall. I hope now with a agreement with the Cottages we will see some wheeling and dealing in the next couple of weeks.

in today's market £10.5m is about a fair price.
remember, they are buying from a top 5 team, and one of our more senior players too.

I just get the impression we are selling him to fund signings and my point is that I dont feel we should need to. We should have at least 25m based on profit, 5th place, uefa cup and player sales etc. So I dont feel the need to sell him especially when we've only really got Yak as a viable regular

Maybe we do have a good transfer kitty, and the club are trying to fool everyone into thinking we don't have two coppers to rub together, so we dont get ripped off in the transfer market? If that is their devious little plan, then they've done a cracking job, even the us fans think we are skint.

Maybe AJ decided enough was enough and told the club he wanted to leave, in which case we either keep an unhappy player and watch as he slowly gets worse and worse and his transfer value plummets or we sell him now when we can make a tidy profit on a squad player and use the money to buy better players.

Or maybe i am just too optimistic and the club really are poor and we have to sell AJ to bring in anyone, leaving us short in other positions which would really "grind my gears".

Yeah good point mate but what I really wanted to comment on was how funny that picture of Arshavin is. Imagine him pulling that face after saying 'Hes not afraid of a big brown bear, Joleon Lescott EVERYWHERE'

Now thats funny [Poor language removed]:lol:

BBC is also now reporting that AJ is close to completing his move to Fulham. With him then almost gone, we are really really really short of numbers. Come on Moyes, surprise us all. Apparently Wyness is on his way to Germany to sort things out with Topal...

Well as someone stated earlier, the writing was on the wall when he pulled out of the Forest match and was pretty much confirmed when he was left out of the squad for the USA trip.

I have conflicting opinions about the deal but have come to the conclusion that if the figures bandied about in the press are true (10.5 to 12 million with incentives), then it's probably best that the deal gets done.

I'd like to remind supporters however that all the speculation in the world won't help as we'll probably never know what went on behind the scenes regarding the "He's not for sale, I don't wanna go" proclamations to where we are today.

Check that. We'll never know exactly what the situation is/was.

That said, it's a matter of time before we get a few new players in here so sit back and enjoy. After all, it's the Everton way. (y)

Those new faces better come soon else they not going to have enough time to gel with the existing players before the season kicks off. Maybe seeing that the team is in the US Mr Wyness is doing all the transfer business behind the scenes...
