i dont like this deal because AJ leaving weakens us and strengthens another team unless we can sign the likes of moutinho and a quality striker. in the end im sorry to see AJ go because he was a beauty

As it stands we are weaker now than we were,Bill said watch this space well Im watching but nothing so far how many days in a Kenwright 24 hours?.:(

First of all let me admit i'm a former Kipper. and i'm not one for posting rubbish and i'm only passing on what I was told yesterday i do not pass it off as fact nor do I have a source at everton, I know a guy who works for liverpool and he told me the AJ money is going direct to Philip Green to pay off the money we owe him for Yakubu, the reason for this is because of Kirkby falling through. Now I don't know whether to believe this or not I suppose its a case of wait and see but its a possibilty and lets face it, it would fit in nicely with the debacle of a summer weve had. Alls i'm saying is don't get too excited that weve suddenly got money to spend

omg. kipper must miss you.

aj isnt and has never, and never will be good enough - he scored 5 goals in his 1st 5 games for us with 2 v the RS, so every1 [Poor language removed] loves him, but its no coincidence no sides above or around us were in for him - he's not good enough and even thought its one number less, it means moyes isnt tempted to put the little midget on the pitch (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

still think we are up [Poor language removed] creek though

Regardless of how AJ performed for us, I never saw him once half ass it around the pitch.

He always busted his tail for us. Yeah I'd have liked a few more goals but no one could ever say that AJ didn't give it his all when he played.

The kind of player you wanted in a blue shirt.

Good luck to him.

What an awful post.

Definatly, you can't fault his work rate and he always gave his all. Good luck to him. (y)

If Smith is his replacement I'll be gutted, AJ is far better.

I cant see Smith being his replacement at all. Like I've mentioned Sunderland are chasing Benny McCarthy for 7mill and I'd like to think we'd go for that than Smith as a replacement.

I can see him being a stand in for Cahill or a support Striker.

See what Moyes does with him.

I think Moyes will use Smith in midfield, at least as a first option.

I wonder if the £10M initially from the AJ deal will see a few cheaper player arrive.. a bit like the way Moyes did when he sold Rooney. Weakening one part to strengthen others, so to speak.

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"If I could sign here for the rest of my career I would do it tomorrow. I am more than happy here, I love the club, the fans and the lads in the dressing room. I am sure the fans can see how much I love it here in my football but I want to make it clear there is no truth in this report - I am loving being an Everton player and I regard it as a great honour to put that blue shirt on every week. I would love to think I will still be here in seven years."

amazing how quickly minds change...

and noone who was even slightly critical of johnson could ever justify a move for alan smith, he's not fit to wear a blue shirt as far as i'm concerned, and 3 million is way too much. how could anyone think AJ didn't cut it for everton, and then honestly want us to sign Smith???? the leeds days are over, he's [Poor language removed] now, he's not fit to lick johnson's boots as far as i'm concerned.

bloddy hell even fulham have signed 10 players according to that !!!!

what i dont get is ..

1.the club have always said there is transfer funds
2.they said the funds are not linked to kirkby
3.they said the funds are not linked to aj's sale.

so why are we at the point where we are a week away and we havent signed jack [Poor language removed].

i really just dont understand it at all.
please will some one explain , why other clubs dont have the same problem we have and also what the problem actually has been ?
