An inspired signing and something Everton haven't managed for years or at least since the Cahill/Coleman days.
Amazing to see how poor a highly rated Bernard was compared to this lad.

His work rate is immense. Up there with Doucoure and Allan. He kept going all game right up to the final whistle.
He fits Rafas gameplan perfectly.

Speaks very well, great attitude and very impressed with his discipline and leadership on the pitch.

Feels strange to actually like our players.

It’s great to have a team of hard working good guys again! Stick Mina and Godfrey in as our CBs and I like all of our first XI again!

I remember when he was a regular for England, he was either scoring or assisting every game, he was always busy and there was always positive things happening round about him.
When it looked as though we were signing him there was instant negativity in bucket loads which I couldn't understand.
Yes we will probably hit a sticky patch at some point but at the moment the enthusiasm and passion that he and Gray have brought to the team is great to witness and ithas rubbed off on others and they appear to be winning everyone over.
Long may it continue.
