As thought, we will end up getting a bid that is worth at least £50m when it comes to add ons, if not more. It's a great deal.

But the club have to reinvest the funds, and smartly. It won't do to go and just get Gueye and another attacking mid on loan and some desperate search for a striker.

That one sale is enough to get 3 more quality players. Go and do it.
Needs to be done in the next couple of days Toff if this is the case.

I hold little or no hope the club have any plan on how to reinvest for the best.

Need to sell him. Firstly don’t care if he is a blue or a scouser. Business is business. We are meant to be a business first. If we had no issues with FFP and we have a good squad that we are confident would be in no trouble of relegation, then we would keep him. Hope he reaches is potential. If not sell for still profit to lower prem team or championship team. This is what a youth set up is about. Either they make it here or we make a lot of money and becomes self sufficient. Now the points i raised before, that if we was in a good position squad wise and had no financial issues then of course I would keep him. However all those points raised are far from that. This sale is needed to get the cash injection we need to bolster are first 11 with genuine quality. 45-50 million is brilliant business. That’s how we should be run. Take emotions out of it, Now that’s hard to do with the idiots running the club who love emotion and drama. That’s why we in the situation we find ourselves. If he does go then I wish all the best.

No we are supposed to be a sports club who wins football matches.

Yes all top sports clubs are now businesses but we will be judged by what happens on the pitch, not on the balance sheet.

The fact we look like we have to sell TWO key players in one window is an absolute embarrassment, a debacle, and totally unacceptable.

We’ve already replaced one of our key players with Dwight McNeil and are about to replace the other one with a Neal Maupay level of player. I wonder what the end result of downgrading an already poor squad bit by bit is going to be.

We really don't have to buy a Maupay level player.

Sad we've got to sell our best young players. Symbolic of how badly this club is run.

Wait till Chelsea pay £70m for Fofana, it'll be 'we should have got more dough for him'.
Surely won't be, because Fofana is genuine class NOW, whereas Gordon is very, very average now with potential to be very good if everything goes right for him with his development. Lot of ifs with Tony Gordon.
