2022/23 Anthony Gordon

He has been lazy. It's like he acknowledges it too and throws in a few pointless sprints that are never going to get the ball back.

Tbh it was a masterclass from how not to press by us today. Everyone was just doing their own thing with no cohesion.

Looked like a kid getting legged by senior pros doing a rondo drill most of the game. He’s a good player but was well off it today and we can’t afford passengers. Surprised it took so long for him to be hooked especially after McNeill scored last week.

I’m guessing you are related to him based on the clear bias you are showing. Gordon has shown promise but has actually done very little so far.

At one stage Tom Davies was a big prospect and if I remember right, captained the side at an extremely young age. There was Barkley before that and so on.

Until Gordon produces consistent goals and assists for consecutive seasons then he is potential and nothing more. The same goes for Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has had one good season in real terms

I stand by everything I said above and I think the last few games have shown that to be the case.

Gordon has some attributes that make him a good prospect but he either kicks on from here or he stagnates and becomes a player much like Gray that has flashes of brilliance but is inconsistent.

There’s a reason we got Gray for 1.5m and that is the sort of career Gordon could end up with if he doesn’t improve. Though to be fair by most standards Gray has had a good career but he was never a central figure in any team he has played for really.

Bottom line, drop Gordon next week as he hasn’t shown it and I think Dwight presses harder too so that will be much needed

The 80s Wham headed whopper disappointed against Man Utd this evening, but we know he's a very good player, and all good players hit a bit of a dry patch from time to time during their careers.
