It doesnt help but at a certain point, enough is enough. If your old enough to get paid millions, your are also old enough to take a little bit of abuse.

The problem is that these type of videos get shared everywhere and we all of a sudden look like the worst fans in the world to every other club.

Whatever you think about his performances hurling abuse at a 21 year old kid isn't right and is counter productive. Heard the voices saying "he's laughing" but I'm very sure it's from bemusement rather than enjoying the situation.

Many times I've been in a situation where I've been criticised and had to put on a brace face. Gordon is doing this too. And like you said, 21 years old. Does not need this abuse

It's a massive if. Being that situation, I'd be surprised if he'd be laughing based on how his character comes across.

Well, I don't think it does. What they've done to Gordon there isn't right at all, but while menacing, their actions are not threatening in a criminal sense.

Or at least, they weren't there, which you may say is because of security and the police being there. For me, the board should still have been there today.

5 hours earlier they were supporting and chanting for the bus, the lad plays probably 20/25 mins and now he is a useless rat.
He has been poor this season but this kind of thing will. Ever help the player.

The fans have absolutely shamed us this weekend with their behaviour. Embarrassing.

@street end @ToffeeTim and @Blue peter, that's what happens when angry people have too much ale and too much lemo up their noses.

This is not supposed to be about the players.

The players being really poor is symptomatic of the problems but the root problem is our recruitment has been pathetic for several years. Its not the players' faults they are not good enough.

The blame lies firmly with the board and recruitment team for bringing players to this club who are not good enough to represent Everton.

All that said, many of our players should be doing better and arent contributing enough. They are way down the list but they arent without blame either.

I would say that Gordon's attitude on the pitch was noticeably different this year. He can do far better than this and maybe needs some home truths from the coaching staff and other pros. The lad can be a good player here but its not working for him right now.

That's the fickleness of our fan base and a result of years of mismanagement. It's become a tinderbox, with each and every result enough to incite the fans.

Likewise, a win today and it'd have been far more buoyant. The fans pulled the club over the last year, whereas I think that unity has been used up.

It is going to get worse before it's going to get better, so now it's simply how far we've got to plummet.

The majority of the players are good enough to not be in the bottom 3. There are plenty however that are not good enough and havnt been over the years. The recruitment has been poor ever since Moshiri came in, I mean we gave Tom Davies a 5 year contract after achieving what? The same is about to be done with Gordon. All that said and look at the dross we have had to get rid of, Sandro says hi.

I said it earlier in the season when he was a prick to Patterson but he has been made to feel by the club that he is billy big bollocks and we've let him walk all over us and the other players. He thinks he's bigger than Everton and that's on us.

The fans had it right in the summer when they wanted him to be sold. Another feck up by the board.
