Usually players who try to force a move through are being kept against their will, i don't get that opinion on Gordon which makes him not turning up even more of a joke.

The club is simply getting the most out of a underwhelming asset that has some decent rankings in statistical data that doesn't show up how poor he has been on the pitch.

If the club was outright saying no we won't sell you i could understand trying to force a move but i don't think the fans or club give a second thought to him being sold particularly if we somehow fleece a club out of 40/50 million for him.

The only good thing I can read into that is that negotiations are going slowly because we're trying to sort out his replacement(s). If we can't get them sorted, he doesn't go.
