Anthony Gordon

He was set for life here. He could've kept his head down, and the morons who run this club would've kept extending his contract in perpetuity and half the fanbase would've continued to blindly worship him. He's done now, wasted his one chance of "making it big" and burned his bridges here in the process. He'll be struggling to get games in the championship a couple of years from now and he absolutely deserves it. Spoilt, brainless, ungrateful, overrated little knobhead.

If we don't get changes at board level then he will be back after a failed career coaching the U23s.

He was subbed on at HT, as you can see hes blowing out of his arse after 45minutes and he was given the hook for being lazy.

A truly utterly garbage player.

I’ll be honest I never saw the hype.

He definitely did his part to help keep us up last season, and was arguably a contender for our player of the season

He's been an absolute helmet at times this season though, I'll give you that

People kept saying that, but he didnt, there was many players who did vastly more than him, he wasnt even close to Richarlisons level, or DCLs, Grays, Iwobis, Townsend, Keane or even Dele Alli.

He ran around a bit, dived like a tit at Anfield and cried like a little girl.

That's definitely an overly harsh perspective

I'm sure none of us want to watch those matches again because they were so miserable and harrowing, but if we did I'm certain we'd see how much Gordon contributed, even if a chunk of it was him energising the fan base and the players around him by being so up for it

Grabbed a few games by the scruff of the neck and made stuff happen. Richarlison, Iwobi and Pickford all played their parts as well of course, and Gordon was in the discussion amongst them for having the biggest hand in our survival

Im not rewriting history, I said at the time, he did nothing, this isnt sour grapes, he was poo all Season and it baffled me how people claimed he was good.

But anyway, hes gone now, hes Newcastles problem, thanks for the 40m you crazy head choppers.
