not really all that surprised to be honest, like baines left foot said he missed 6 months and came back and played 3 games, shouldve been more gradual but with distin and jags banged up it was necessary

There's probably a potential he's hoing to do a hamstring or something. Fatigue increases this statistically.

He's out as a precaution probably from a scan or something.

Unfortunately some on here don't think. Two weeks now or 4 weeks with a strain.

After 6 months martinez thinks two weeks is better for the player and team.

Fair enough!

Everton's Antolin Alcaraz suffers fresh injury setback

ANTOLIN ALCARAZ has suffered a new blow in his injury-plagued season at Everton after being ruled out for up to a month.

The Paraguay defender is hampered by muscle fatigue and faces another spell on the sidelines.

Alcaraz, 31, rushed back from a three-game absence due to the same problem to play in the Merseyside derby but was then absent for the win over Aston Villa last Saturday.

He has made just four appearances since arriving at Everton on a free transfer in the summer having required a hernia operation

I am not being funny but the guy is 31, is now into his second season where he is injury plagued and now it is because his muscles are tired?!

How often do you actually see players who are out for a while getitng this syndrome? Are we just to accept that an inury that (personally) we had never heard of before Alcaraz arrived at the club as normal? The guy is clearly going to spend his final years on a decent wage here with Gibbo in the medical room.

So realistically that is another player out for the season then! if he has muscle fatigue again imagine what he will be like after another month of not playing? One game in and one month off.

Easy to say in hindsight but Kone and alcaraz have both been poor signings by Martinez. He couldn't have seen the Kone injury coming but alcaraz was like this last year. And neither of them have been great when they have played .
