This is like Townsend and Gray rage, all rolled into one.

At least he starts with the lowest of expectation.

Hopefully fans will be opened minded enough with him once he starts to play.

Unfashionable players with a point to prove can sometimes work out well.

When Moyes brought in players with that exact profile, he was lauded for it. Gray and, to a lesser extent, Townsend have exceeded expectations so far. If this lad puts in a similar effort then we may well be clamouring for his signature come summer.

If he doesn't, not an awful lot lost.

If Benitez didn't want him in the first place as reported, though, I reckon it will be interesting viewing over the next few weeks.

Not at all happy about how this deal has come about but regardless it's not the lads fault! I am sure he will be eager to prove himself. Get behind the kid and lets hope he proves to be one of those loan signings we are desperate to keep!

I’m not so sure, with the postponements we gonna have lots of midweek games the rest of the season. Gray and Gordon can’t play every game so we have to rotate anyway.
