I did argue a lot with some snotty toff in the DBA forum who claimed he was an advisor to some tory minister and was suggesting they should have a system at locks where you should be able to pay to jump a queue.

I suggested that if he wanted to do that then he should negotiate and pay everybody ahead of him in that queue and not the lock keeper, because it was the queuee's time he was taking, not the lock keeper. He didn't like that one bit ... tories believe that money should stay in the establishment, not the people. He referred to me as "that socialist" as if it were an insult. I used to love ripping his "reasoning" to shreds.

I've looked in there occasionally. The horror!! Quite honestly learned ages ago that I don't feel the need to engage in debate with people not open to changing their mind simply because of logic, facts or reason, because their ego is too heavy to shift.

I save that energy for talking to the wife.
