Apologies To Mr. Ancelotti

I have absolutely not problem with us signing these squad players in crucial positions, we massively needed width and I actually like Begovic.

Some people (predictably) are slightly missing the point of this post. People saying he is at fault because of our poor results at the back end of the season are missing the point. He was promised vast sums of money which we clearly didn’t have. Us signing James and Allan (who both got rave reviews at first) is not the cause of our financial problems.

It’s no coincidence that our form plummeted after the disastrous January transfer window where we had a real opportunity to break in to the European places. He was probably rightfully hugely disheartened by our failure to capitalise on a fantastic opportunity to propel ourselves forwards.

I feel like I’m repeating myself here, but some don’t get it.

People calling him all names under the sun because Real Madrid came calling. Berating and blaming him for all of the aforementioned is ill informed and unfair.

We were playing the grimmest football in the league long, long before the January window.

Says here that he doesn’t last out the season at RM

They are a mess, even more so than us relative to expectations- it’s why they were the prime mover of the Super League.

Their squad is old and overpaid, they have massive debt, and they seem played out. Reaching back to the glory days with Carlo. Would be ok if he still had fire in the belly and something to work for but he doesn’t. That side needs hands on coaching and that’s not his thing. Davide will get them squared away on set pieces and they will otherwise fail to exert themselves in workouts as Carlo benevolently strolls around the practice pitch.

Fourth or fifth in La Liga at New Years, barely squeak out of CL group stage snd lose first knockout match, Carlo axed by Easter.
