It's as believable as other claims reported by anonymous club sources imo.

I'm told that the club consider this matter resolved internally and will not be commenting further.

I think they do. It's a very serious claim they've made publicly. They should be questioned on why, if this happened as reported, it was considered a serious enough incident to leak to the press but not serious enough to justify reporting to police.

There is still zero evidence from unnamed "club sources" that such an incident occurred. Are you taking the anonymous club sources claims at face value?

I've heard from club sources in the past that Bill Kenwright is a mutant lizard in a skin suit but make of that what you will.

So....to "protect" people they didnt want to press charges against someone assaulting women and putting them in headlocks. Instead of punishing that person, it would make more sense to then not attend any more matches. Who exactly is that supposed to help?

It is intesting that the club released a statement yesterday claiming they wouldn't say anything more on the matter, but lo and behold 24 hours later the echo and athletic publish almost identical reports with new, contradictory information.

It is intesting that the club released a statement yesterday claiming they wouldn't say anything more on the matter, but lo and behold 24 hours later the echo and athletic publish almost identical reports with new, contradictory information.

Almost like Ian Wright coming out saying the story is clearly made up has made them realize that this isn't going away by simply saying "no comment".

I still can’t get over the fact a woman was supposedly assaulted in a highly secure environment and no one jumped in to help her, and no one witnessed it.

The ex coppers and ex sqauddies should be sacked on the spot in that case.

1) Criticism of DBB needs to be knocked on the head on this incident. We have no idea she even feels as a victim.

2) This is not a headlock, from a supporter at the Brighton game. That is a lie and a slander.

3) The club need to make a statement on this. I have seen female supporters saying they want clarity, and they deserve clarity. It needs to be cleared up.
