£50m and a 20 point deduction, either this season or next.

With explicit warning next attempt is £500m or if they go along with it expulsion from the league immediately.

A european ban is the way to go. Points deductions become irrelevant if they can't qualify for CL or EL for a couple of years.

Isn't that what they wanted though? To not participate in these competitions and for league points to become irrelevant? We'd only be granting them what they wanted so they would presumably not have any issues with this.

There’s no way UEFA will host competitions without them though sadly.

Probably not, but if they do nothing then there is no deterrent against clubs trying this again.

Like Perez is so brazen in how he is going to keep pushing for the Super league. How can UEFA have any dignity if they let RM keep playing in their tournament while the president is trying to breakaway from the the champions league?

I dont think the premier league will relegate any of them.

I also dont think UEFA will ban them from European competition.

I think as there were 6 clubs involved out of 20 then those 6 should be docked 14 points each....next season.

One for every other club in the premier league.

My guess is that each get a more lenient penalty of 6pts each.

If all 6 were docked 14 points next season then i think most people would be comfortable with that.

Would make for a great season as well knowing 14 clubs have a 14 point headstart on them.

Norwich would soon help them out with a cheeky 6 points.

Actually that is a more sensible idea. I approve.

The practicalities of this may need ironing out, but I agree with the principle.
They can keep the measurement to reward the league with places in the CL.

They must not use the coefficient to allow clubs to jump ahead of better performing teams.

That's cheating.

If these clubs really wanted to help money trickle down the footballing pyramid then relegation to the bottom league would be of enormous benefit. They'd 'help out' probably 70 other clubs trying to get back to the Premier League... I know, I know Pie in the Sky.

I think UEFA the more likely to act. It should be at least a 3 year ban on European competition. But I imagine it would be 1 - if they chose that.

But no non-punishment tells them they are greater than the whole.

I suspect the Premier League will wait until the end of the season and ask them to sign documents that they won't do it again or face damaging punishment. I kinda think a couple of them will break away then. The RS, United and probably the two North London clubs.

They've attempted a coup on football in this country anything less than a 30 point deduction for next season is to light.

I've honestly got no idea how this will go. I feel like one side has won but I'm not sure which.
