I prefer to get over excited when it looks like we are actually going to achieve something.

Let it ride for now. When we played wolves away last season i thought we were the worst side in europe. It was honestly the most gutless display i had seen in years.
Few months later and a good transfer window we are sitting on maximum points and actualy looking decent in many areas.
Enjoy the good when it comes. The Sh1t ones are usualy not far round the corner.

Looks like it, watching LCFC getting humiliated this afternoon. We have a very important mission now on our hands for the good of PL brand, and real football. Can we rise to the occassion? All non-RS fans of the English football expect us to do well.

Its a numbers game looking at our previous 45 seasons. Obvious I know, but is all down to goals. If DCL gets 24, Richy gets 19 and James gets 14 then you're looking at 3rd-5th territory. If everyone else gets 16 between them then 73 is not an unrealistic figure.

DCL average over rest of season of a goal every 1.8 games
Richy goal every two games
James goal every 3.9 games

It would have to be a massive slump not reach those targets with the players we have.

Bookies odds were 150-1 to win it on day 1.
We are now 16-1

No European football relative to our rivals helps alot I think.

However Leicester (who I think had no european football, but did have a deep carabao cup run last season) fell away from Christmas onwards despite a very strong start. That may be an indication of how the season will fare for us.

I think we will need to spend in Jan to keep us going for top 4.
