Are things really that bad?

Tipp blue

If I agreed with you, we’d both be wrong.
After finally getting a win for the first time this season, I was wondering are we actually playing as bad as our league position would suggest.
The opposition GK has been MOTM in 2 of our games.
We have been the better team in 4 of our 6 games, Fulham, Sheffield, Wolves, Brentford and a draw against Arsenal wouldn't have been an unfair result.
I know I've criticised the team for the preformance but has it actually been that bad.
We were hopless against Villa but looking at it now have we really been bad?

No we haven't been that bad except for not being able to put the ball in the net
We did it Saturday and deserved the win

Beto and a fit Dom will change our fortunes big time

yes they are terrible, for what has been invested in this team, its ridiculous we are even in this position? The amount of change, the waste, the terrible players bought, the rumours of 777 - probably more than rumour, they will be bad for Everton, some folk think we may be in administration come the end of the year. We are in a position of our own making, but we need to be much much much better than this. No true blue would be happy with anything we are doing right now, perhaps getting rid of Tom Davies is a good start, but we need to be soooo much better than this.

I was really disappointed after Villa, Arsenal and (to a degree) even Doncaster. Just thought in each of those three games we approached them with a poor gameplan that the players never really looked like they fully bought into.

I do generally agree that we were unlucky/unfortunate with the Fulham & Wolves results, but I did think as much as we looked an improved outfit at Brentford I also thought that we played them at a good time, in hindsight..

Needed a last minute triple save vs Sheffield to save a point.

A draw vs arsenal would not have been fair at all. We didn’t lay a finger on them.

Could argue we deserved more against Wolves and Fulham. We didn’t take our chances and allowed them to build into the final period of the games. we didn’t wipe the floor with either though in terms of performance even if we were the better team. We allowed Fulham 60% possession when we were at home. And wolves had a similar number of shots as we did.

We should be better off than we are. But we aren’t. And at the end of the season, it’s only points that count, not whether we outplayed them.

Fine margins in the Premier league. I don't think there are many truly stellar teams in it. Those who are really show us up (see Arsenal). I think we've got a lot of players prone to inconsistentcy and making game losing errors. Those are the margins. Brentford were hideous and we took advantage. Another day our errors would have cost us, or Brentford would have been more 'at it'.

I'm not going to complain though, the win was needed.

Saw this somewhere else this morning ( not a clue where its from )
Just shows the fine lines especially in the Fulham & Wolves games.

Now if only we had a goalscorer or 2 at the time.

BTW
We stunk agst Villa & Arsenal.

It’s our own fault we didn’t have a goal scorer though, it’s not some chance event. We are near the bottom and deservedly so.
