Is the term "People of Color" acceptable? Seems to be in use in corporate America!

It's all a bit of a nightmare to follow and keep up with so I don't bother. Just dont try to offend anyone is a good starting/ending point.

People being offended by offensive stuff is OK though. Just because YOU aren't offended means nothing.
I think you`ve got it twisted there sister. being offended by offensive stuff is a bottomless pit that needs to be avoided for the good of your own health, its called growing up. if you get a new haircut, walk into your local boozer and everyone starts laughing but this doesn`t upset you, then you have made a good start and can then get to thinking about wearing long pants

People aren’t being offended by people laughing at their haircuts you guff, people are offended by people mocking their disabilities, sexual preference, religion, ethnicity etc

You’re typical of the type who gets totally confused with what woke snd snowflake people are chatting about, you’re the type who thinks snowflakes are upset about haircuts, choice of football team, choice of car or other inane stuff like that.
Bizarre

Wind your neck in
Nice at this time of year I believe ; for myself, my indifference runneth over.

Yeah 'coloured' is a big no-no these days.

Historically, the word is associated with segregation, especially in the US, where black people where kept separate from white people - on public transport, or at drinking fountains which were described as "coloured-only" for example.
These rules - known as "Jim Crow laws" - happened mainly in the states in the south of the US, from the 1870s until the 1960s.
now we`re getting somewhere! when did the description `coloured` become `offensive`? have i got to keep up with trends when someone somewhere decides what was once innocent in one part of the world is now `offensive in another part of the world? were you offended by my use of the word `coloured`?

you must be deliberately misunderstanding me, the haircut story was an example of you not being a grown up offence wise. Abuse is a different thing altogether so stop convoluting the two

SO you are ok if people are offended by people mocking their disabilities, sexual preference, religion, ethnicity etc? I mean, is it OK for them to be offended?

sorry @Rita_Poon. i thought Suarez gave out racist abuse etc, so whats the significance here? if you`re drawing a parallel say so, join the debate

"someone somewhere decides what was once innocent in one part of the world is now `offensive in another part of the world?"

Frequent yourself with the excuse he provided for his words to Evra.

personally i don`t like cheap shots and i automatically by nature root for the underdog. having said that, if anyone chooses to be offended that is up to them. as for abuse i am totally against it.
