Hoof ball & lack of crosses is a worrying concern for any no 9 - he may spark some life though if fit ?
Spark life in what? He doesn't fit at all how we play, he's not this 9 that will combat for punts upfield, it's the same when we ask Beto to do it, and also how we asked Maupay to do it last year, but less funny. We don't adapt to the players on the pitch, we play the exact same way regardless, which is 100% not down to them.

He'll probably barely touch a ball and we have to hope he scores with it despite that somehow. I mean I hope it happens, but it will be nothing short of a miracle.

I am just hoping that he offers something different to what we have, he seems to be somewhere between the two in terms of style (happy to be corrected). There is no way he can play upfront alone with Dyche longs balls, will we be forced into something different?

Think he would be better than beto imo can carry the ball alot better, agree that we dont adapt how we play but i think we would see broja coming for the ball alot more. Going deep or wide to get the ball then try drive forward, but 100% this crap football from dyche of looking to hit it long for the cf and expecting them to hold the ball up and create abit of magic wont work with him is not the sort of striker

From the bits I have seen of him he seems athletic and pacy. Traits that we are lacking at present.
We have so little pace in the team that anyone who has some is very welcome and will offer something different.

We know that DCL work hard, is most dangerous when on the end of good crosses but at the moment at least I would barely trust him to score with his feet in front of an open goal. As we do not supply him with decent service from the wings it completely reduces his threat.

We can see that Beto at least is fast and strong and his introduction in recent games has resulted in improving the performance if not always the result.

My hope is that in time Broja will have the Beto characteristics of hard work and pace but will more quality.

However, he is coming back from a long term injury and it will be some time before we will really know how good he will be.
