No idea how he deserved a start.

Moyes on Broja's inclusion in the starting XI:

Its not even that for me. Just pair him with anyone that isn't Doucore. We have Charly, Dwight, Illy, Beto and Chermo. Even Timmy. I don't think Broja is specifically the problem.

His hold up play and close control is good but he's not a goal threat.

He was really good at Southampton (I think). Looked a good, mobile modern striker. That said, he’s had injuries since then.

I don't think beto is good enough so have no problem with him giving broja a chance.

I like Armando Broja, he's not the fastest but has a decent touch and good close control. I'm pretty confident that he will be an asset when he's fully match fit and up to speed.

To me, Broja is an injury-prone meh. A Chelsea cast off. We shouldn’t be giving all that match time to Broja when we’re going to stay up to see what he’s all about. This is when you should be seeing what Chermitti and Tim are all about. Those are our guys and much more of our future is than Broja.
