2024/25 Armando Broja

We are allowed two domestic loans, we simply cannot gamble on a perennially injured player as one of them, we have to bring so many players in this season that all signings have to be players with good injury history. I appreciate that we could negotiate an injury clause, but, that doesn't solve the problem, say, for instance we take him on loan, he then gets a long term injury in October, yes we can send him back to Chelsea, but, we can't replace him until January, leaving our already thin squad a player down for three months .

He has obvious phyiscal ability, but time is running out. Don't know if this is the place for him to to realize his potential, but there's a good chance he will somewhere at some point.

Yes but the only potential he has shown is the potential for a career ending injury
Yeah, but it’s a skewed risk/reward. If he gets fit and does well we get a quality player for a relative bargain. It’s worth the relatively small outlay for the gamble that he comes good.

A lot of people didn’t want to take the risk on Welbeck and he ended up doing very well for Brighton. Wasn’t Saha in a similar boat at United as well before he came and did well for us?

He has a lot of potential and could end up being a very good player for a reasonable fee.

….he’s on a big contract until 2028 despite hardly playing for Chelsea. The transfer fee might not be the issue, he won’t want a pay cut with so long left on his current deal.

Problem is, he’s had potential for a long time, he hasn’t done anything effective for a very long time. I’d also be very wary of his hunger to play, he’s done nothing to justify us taking the risk off Chelsea.
