He's similar in that he can play wide and up front. More of a dribbler than Richarlison but definitely not bad. I wouldn't say there's much between them in terms of output quality in all honesty.

Richarlison just had that additional X factor, which I'm not sure Danjuma has.
Not seen him play that often since he left Bournemouth other than a couple of CL games, but I think he looks good enough to improve our options, at the very least.

Yep he's that kind of inside left forward for me. That's the kind of player we definitely needed. Now we need to go and add more of a traditional no.9 type forward as well.

Seems more the type we needed than the Bizarre McNeil signing

I'm 100% certain that if Lampard could spin Mcneil and Maupay right this minute for a few million each, he would.

They've had little to no impact at all so when we look at the summer signings we've had Vinagre who must be absolutely crap, Maupay with a return of 1 goal, Mcneil with 2 goals but he looks so devoid of anything and lacking in courage which is needed if your going to win over a fanbase.

He's definitely a step up on what we have. Let's hope it gets done. Should have been done sooner.

Everton would accept an offer for Maupay.

It won't come in, like, but that's where we're at.

Lampard shouldn't have signed off on him but the fact that they thought he was adequate for the type of striker they wanted reflects badly on the people above him too.

he scored goals in Brighton's side. He can score goals in a system that suits him like.

When you compare the cost of the deal to the Ings deal today, the transfer was really poor value - though id accept the Ings deal its prob more expensive in wages - though you get what you pay for.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see him shifted out on loan to save on wages last day of the window.

Tarkowski good business
Coady good business
Onana potentially very good business (has really settled last 3 games)
Vinagre really poor business
Mcneil really poor business
Maupay had potential to be ok business but how we set up just looks like dreadful business

he also missed bags loads of chances, he underperformed his xG in every season.

Brighton created loads of chances and by the end of last season even Potter had lost patience with him.

Maupay is okay in the right system, absolutely. And I do think Lampard might have thought he'd have been able to have Everton playing in a system that suits Maupay a bit more by this time.

But for one reason or another - some of it on him, some of it just down to us having very poor players - we haven't got it.

He was brought in as DCL's back-up but is nothing like DCL. It was a stupid signing.
