Not sure anyone was shooting him down. All I said is we knew before he "confirmed" it and thus isn't gospel.
 

Honestly I’m happy it’s just a loan, sadly we can’t risk having a massive transfer fee (and they’d want a considerable amount) if we potentially go down. If we stay up, we may miss out on a cut fee for a player we like - but in that case we’ll just have to thank our lucky stars and move onto other targets. Id take staying up and him not signing permanently any day of the week - the alternative is a massive problem. A positive deal all round if we can get another in and some outgoings.

I said he was the first that said we made an official offer .
It's not been confirmed yet so no one Is fully right are they.
Does it matter who says what once it happens . As I said bobble comes across as a genuine blue who hears certain things and shares some of it .
Anyway you probably have to go watch one of the other 3 or 4 teams you support play so have a nice day .

And let's be very honest with ourselves: the vast majority of Everton signings over the last seven years have been utter failures, anyway. This lad is more likely to be another one to add to that list than to the very short list that includes...help me, I'm struggling here...

There’s always going to be that risk buying players and yeah we don’t have a great record. On the optimistic side of things, West Ham wanted this guy for big money last summer (vetoed by Moyes - a feeling we know all too well), he’s had a great time at Villarreal and has premier league experience with Bournemouth, I think there’s enough there to be excited but of course nothing is guaranteed.

This is it. My thoughts entirely.

And even then. What did we buy Pickford for? 30m? We would make a very small profit on him if we sold him now. And Richarlison? We did indeed make a very small profit on him. So even our better significant-outlay signings seem to be more about breaking even or garnering a little bit on top rather than fantastic successes who double their transfer value.
