Well...no.
If you have a deal agreed.
Do a medical.
Then you sign the agreement and register the player.
After that you then do the media stuff. The pen and paper in front of players in the videos isnt the real contract you know?
There are timeframes set to get these deals done...if not then move on.
Only funny thing here is:
1: The total stupidity to sack Lampard
2: To not sign before media work
We were meant to have 2 players signed up yesterday.
Now Lampard is sacked and we have 0.
It is ineptitude and incompetence.
Sack the board.
CorrectYes before anyone says anything, I absolutely do blame the people in charge of negotiations at Everton’s end for this. Why does it take 3 days after completing a medical to get some paperwork across in the 21st century? Who is responsible for this? I want their head on a spike.
It would be incredible. A dramatic dark comedy.Prime documentary. Now.
Danjuma failing to send his registration documents to the FA is a moot point really, IF he has signed a contract with Everton.
But, if it turns out that it’s true that Everton got all the media work done, BEFORE getting him to sign a contract, then well, that will be a new low in the history of our board
Yeah this is what strikes me. It sounds like he has a contract with the club but is not allowing himself to be registered for the club. But I’m not sure what we can do about that.
Whats is gona achieve?..force him to play for a club he doesn't want to play for...that would be awkward
It's very, very difficult to believe that's the case to be honest. He can't possibly have been unaware that Lampard's job was in severe jeopardy. Seems far more likely that we were the best option on the table for him at the time and then Spurs have called and he's said yeah damn right i'd rather go there.
Surely reconfirms Kev isn't getting deals over the line if he has to get Lampard to help it out.
Walsh had more pulling power than him
