Let's be honest. Right now, most players would jib us off if Spurs came in for them over us. It was a shame how it happened but if it's humbled him then that can only be a good thing for both him and us. When he scores against Fulham none of us will care about January.

Richarlison isn't good enough for Spurs but was our best player. Spurs team is pretty much better in every position except maybe the goalie.
And even not taking quality of sides into account, Spurs and Everton were pretty much at a similar level when Pienaar left us for them, but it just didn't work out. Sometimes it's not even about the quality of the side, it's just about whether the player suits the club or the manager.
