There's a chance I posted something similar back in Jan so sorry if I'm repeating myself but here goes anyway with an AFCB view of Danjuma.
Ignore his stats the season we got relegated. He has a series of niggly injuries and, as the season was one long injury crisis, we ended up playing players when they weren't fit in quite a lot of games. So they numbers from that year are misleading. He needed some time to adapt to the English game but, by the time he was starting to look fully fit and ready to make a contribution, it was after lockdown and wasn't really the right time to throw him into a scrap for our lives. He didn't give off the impression of being that kind of player.
The man has an ego but credit to him, he often backs it up and, when we did go down and lots of players were sold on, he didn't have a tantrum. Unlike a certain Joshua King and his mysterious migraines and back aches that came on before kick off. Danjuma simply got on with it. That's when we saw the real player and the guy can finish. I know it was only the Championship but he was utterly ruthless, cutting in from a wide left forward position and scoring. The first season after relegation we were actually a mess on the pitch with terrible coaches in charge and a lot of poor performances, but along with a couple of others, he elevated us with his contribution. Without him we'd have been midtable.
You're essentially getting a wide forward who has more confidence and better natural finishing than most strikers.
When he went to Villareal, he proved he could do it at a higher level with his Champions League scoring, but apparently fell out with the coach. I think his ego may have ruffled some feathers.
If Dyche can get inside his head and make him feel loved, I think you've got an excellent player on your hands that could score quite a few for you this season. That's the only question I see about him. He 100% has the ability, pace and calmness on the ball to be a success at this level. He will need careful management though.
Good luck. Only, not at our expense please. Cheers.
He was training with Villarreal right up to Thursday/Friday by the looks of it. Probably explains why the medical was booked for a Saturday.I presume he is behind in training and we may only see a glimpse against Sporting?
He has trained with Villarreal and played in their first pre season game last SaturdayI presume he is behind in training and we may only see a glimpse against Sporting?
Sounds like a painter decorator from Barnsley.Dunno why Google swapped 'Hull' for 'Hill', but there we go..
Don't see any reason he can't be involved in the next couple of matches. If he isn't match fit then that's what pre season is for.I presume he is behind in training and we may only see a glimpse against Sporting?
He looks good on UTube, mind you so do a lot of players!Never seen him play so have no idea if he’s any good or not so looking forward to seeing him.
My only concern is he is clearly a Thelwell signing as we wanted him before Dyche came, not sure how that will play out with Dyche’s formation plans.
Twice and once a bit higher up!You should be kicked in the knee cap for that
The only one who came out on top out of that deal was Garbutt, he became a millionaire with the wages Everton paid him. You're saying poached - they agreed but both teams didn't settle the price one to one, so the tribunal set the fee at 600k or something lol
We did literally nothing illegal in that.
To be fair, the conversations probably went. I need a striker, get me one.Never seen him play so have no idea if he’s any good or not so looking forward to seeing him.

He became famous for being unknown as well, with the "Who?!" moment. The only one who came out on top out of that deal was Garbutt, he became a millionaire with the wages Everton paid him.
Game is teaming with mercenaries mate...and if this one does well enough to keep us from getting dragged into another relegation battle then that will do me.I'm normally excited when we make any signing, but with this I'm not. Nothing personal to the lad, I know nothing about him other than he hardly played for his first choice in Spuds. Undoubtedly he's another option, which might help, but honestly, if he's any good why are Villereal offloading him on a loan? Just another transient mercenary to help us from embarrassing ourselves as far as I see it.
