This is my issue with Gray, can be too greedy at times and wasteful.
Hopefully as he settles in more he will improve, he will definitely get us some goals though.

This is important. We can’t seemingly stop leaking goals so we’re gonna have to score more to stay competitive.
He'd be 20 yards behind play.
He's a little predictable Danjuma in certain scenarios (such as the 4v2, where he made the simple look very hard), but he'll create space, he'll score goals as long as he's gambling like he did yesterday and I think he'll hit a couple of worldies as well.
Beto seemed to find him with ease yesterday.
Yeah but the whole game would have changed …. Crowd would have given up etc …. From 2-0 up I think we go on to win that game tbh…. Mind you this is Everton so anything bad is possibly

I think an important thing to remember is our full backs, as bad as they are, have so far had absolutely zero support from wide players and the returning Harrison and McNeil (both very hard workers) will make the world of difference.
Then, fingers crossed, Tarkowski and Branthwaite will get the chance to gel and forge a solid partnership.
That all along with an improved attack ought to see us easily safe imo.

You're absolutely correct here, but Danjuma is capable of getting 10 goals this season - you can see he wants to run in behind defences and take shots on.
McNeil (despite his purple patch last season) and Harrison aren't really the sort of players to do that, so it's a bit of a trade off - Danjuma will see us score more goals if he's kept in the team in his preferred position off the left, but it comes at the cost of slightly less defensive solidity that McNeil would give you there

I'd very much like to see McNeil given a shot at a number 10 role. He's nimble and creative enough, and the role doesn't require somebody especially pacy. Doucoure got his goal at the weekend, but it came from a set piece and not because he is excelling as a number 10.
Especially in games where the emphasis is on us to take it to the opposition, I'd like to see Beto or DCL with Danjuma and Harrison on the wings and McNeil behind.
We actually will have quite a few attacking options which is great. No more reliance on DCL to play every game when fit; Danjuma can play wide or in the middle; McNeil can play either side; can play DCL and Beto together; if we need to go all out attack chasing a game we can play McNeil and Harrison on the wings and play Beto, DCL and Danjuma up top, even with Doucoure supporting them. Nice to see finally we have options rather than just playing the 2-3 players that happen to be fit.
Barring any freak injuries, we ought to have all of the above players available for her the next game.
