I think they will be back in the top 4 by the end of the season. Gerrard and Torres have lots to prove. Joe Cole is a great little player, they have a good manager. Telling you, Rafael leaving was the worse thing that happened for the rest of the premier league.

Agree on Rafael leaving, but they won't be top four, they won't even be top 6, they don't have the squad depth/quality. I think Gerrard will do his usual of 15+ goals, but as long as they have Rob Price et al, they will continue to have shocking recuperation from injuries and more injury prone players at the club including all 3 you just mentioned.

They won't score much, I think they should have flogged off Torres for 60-80M while they had the chance. He looks like damaged goods. However defensively they'll be the best in the prem. Arse only had 2 shot on goals and one from a weak Vermallen free kick. Woy scrapped the zonal marking that was always good for a goal or two (granted an Arse corner is just a waste of everybody's time) and there wasn't anyone out of position when arse was on the attack. Rafael would have led this squad to an 8-10th place finish, Woy I'm not so sure and it kind of scares me.
