I’m just having a pint after leaving the Emirates and enjoying an unexpected point from the game.

My observations from my vantage point in Block 22-:

Pickford was my MOM due to the saves he made but his overall calmness when we were in under pressure…good to see more positivity regarding collecting the ball or going and punching danger away.
Young played well but Branthwaite was a bit shaky at times and gave the ball away leading to dangerous situations…Tarkowski more solid than he has been and good to see him getting in the ear of the ref who was diabolical.

Finally, can someone kidnap Jack Harrison and drive him to Leeds and dump him in the Elland Road car park and even pay a reverse ransom to Leeds so he does not come back. There was a moment in the second half that was the epitome of a “Jackism” when he controlled a cross field pass and beat his marker in one touch, leaving him to play a pass to DCL who had started to make a really good run that would have given him a good shooting chance…Jack played the pass to the space that DCL had vacated behind him. He was hooked off pretty quickly after that.

I feel like today was one of those where arsenal looked a bit gassed by the second half due to the amount of games they have been playing, whereas for us it was the opposite. It's a good result as we did the business. Not sure why we couldn't do the same against Man Utd as they are significantly worse and a lot more blunt going forward than Arsenal.

Didn't see the match. Was he up against Saka? Pretty much everyone suffers against him.
Not sure what to say about this. Defensively well done, considering where the game was and what's the history lately ie 30 years or so for EFC in that dungeon. I mean, Everton has gotten some points even from Mordor.

Having said that, it was pretty tame going forwards. Like, lame. Like a lame duck. Like a lame duck with every possible disadvantages a duck can get.

But then again. It was an Arsenal-away in Islington. Where my two Asnl-friends took me to Emirates and across Surrey. At one time they freaking lived on the Penthouse at Highbury. On top of the main stand. I've scored at Highbury.

I got to tell those guys "Well, nil-nil. What you expected with an Arsenal game?"

UTFT!
