Nowhere near, but each to their own. Pepperoni, provolone and some green olives if I'm feeling fancy.

Signing Luiz was an odd one for you lot. Plenty of talent going forward, but if you're poor defensively then it'll be hard for you to break the top four.

When's Bellerin likely to be available ? I'm assuming you're a fan like !

Oh yeah, I love Hector. Future captain for us (I hope). Latest update is he will return to full training sometime in October.

I'm quietly optimistic about Luiz, he does have the odd clanger in him but is undoubtedly a step up from Chambers and Mustafi. We should have Rob Holding back by the end of September so he will hopefully come back strong, but I think a Luiz-Sokratis partnership has some potential. My main hope is our attack is seriously revitalised this season, reducing the need for the defence to be completely solid, but time will tell.

Luiz is a very good player who makes a lot less than many other centre halves....they're just a lot more noticeable given the hair and profile. Hence the big errors (that every defender makes) live longer in the memory. Sokratis is potentially very decent as well so that lines up well.

Not seen much of the new lad (Pepe?) but having Lacazette and Aubumeyang is ridiculous anyway.

Yeah, Luiz can make mistakes but all defenders do. The Sideshow Bob comparisons just draw more attention to them.

Pepe is just what we've needed since Alexis left - someone who can run and take on defenders. Previously we've had too many playmakers and not enough threat on the wings. Can't wait to see him play.

Well done to Emery, prior to playing the RS later this week.

Effectively waved a massive white flag, by stating 'we don't want to play Liverpool'.

Psychologically handed the game to to them on a plate.

It was mostly said in jest and if/ when they hammer us, it won't be because of what Emery said in a press conference.
 
Way back in 1958 I was captain of a North of England representative team which included a young Bob Wilson in goal. He who went on to play for Arsenal.
