Whilst I wouldn’t say domination, better team over most of the game before a shot that usually ends up in the corner hits the woodwork & goes in.

Then before you take a breath, the offside nemesis scores again when 2 metres offside.

Then you hit the “typical Everton defeat” mode of where you wonder why you exist. 12th with 6pts after the easiest 6 fixtures you could have thought existed to start a season. I’d swear right here but the auto filter would probably ban me right now.

Predictably, he was fantastic in the first half when we were good and they were awful, keeping them in it.

When they started to play better we just stopped and I'd give him man of the match for the first half alone.

A good manager should be able to get results regardless of the squad. But other than some good footy in the first half today we've been dreadful, preseason included
