Character is the issue for me still and sadly so. We don’t have enough players to show grit and fight. That on its own is not enough but it would be occasionally and would see us get something at a place like Arsenal more than once every 20 years.
It’s the same with sloppy passing, and lack of movement and showing for the ball. There is nobody to step forward and try to make things happen.
We should be a bookies nightmare with this type of fixture. So predictable not just with result but performance and attitude. Hoping to see at least some change in that today but not expecting any points.
You wonder when the law of averages will come into play with us. Statistically we must have close to the worst away record at Top Six clubs in Europe over such a sustained period.
I’ll vault this if we get a result today.

Even under their worst season with Wenger they still looked like the invincibles. It's not how good or bad they are, it's how bad we are. Our bottlers still have the same mentality that travels around with them.
Which brings me to my next point. Player A has a great week in training and rightly so gets picked for the team. The team news comes out and fans seem surprised as to why player A has been picked but think he must be doing something right to impress Silva. Player A plays an average game and doesn't seem to impress the fans. We all walk away from the stadium thinking "How is he getting picked every week?" Well I'll tell you. On that training pitch he is playing with the same cowards Monday to Friday and when he plays in the match he looks poor because he is playing against better calibre opposition. Simple as that really.
